AfCoP President Mr. Mamadou Lamine N’Dongo
Mr. N’Dongo is an Economist-Statistician Engineer. Since February 2017, he has been President of the African Community of Practice in Managing for Results (AfCoP). He worked at the African Development Bank (AfDB) from 1991 to 2016, when he retired. At the AfDB he held the following positions:From October 2013 to June 2016, he was the Resident Representative of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Senegal Regional Office, covering Senegal, Cabo Verde, The Gambia and Guinea Bissau; From 2006 to October 2013, he served as Lead Results Advisor, Coordinator of the African Community of Results-Based Management (AfCoP); From 2002 to 2006, he was Resident Representative at the AfDB Regional Office in Gabon covering Congo Brazzaville, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Central African Republic. Prior to assuming these duties, he was in turn in charge of the North African Country Programs Division; the Central African Countries Operations Division; Economist and Program Officer for West and Central African Countries. Before joining the AfDB in September 1991, he held, in his country, Mauritania, the positions of Director in charge of supervising the Public Enterprises, Director of Planning and Macro-Economist, at the Ministry of Economy and Finances.
AfCoP Vice President, Mr Richard Ssewakiryanga
Mr. Ssewakiryanga is the Executive Director of Uganda National NGO Forum a platform of over 630 local and international NGOs in Uganda. In 2016, I completed a four year term as the Co-Chair for the Global CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE). He is a Member of the Global CSO Advisory Group to the UNDP in New York, Co-Chair of the Task Team CSO Development Effectiveness and a member of the East Africa Regional Board of the Aga Khan Development Network. Before joining the Uganda National NGO Forum, he worked for the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development of Uganda for 10 years. First as a seconded staff of OXFAM Great Britain as a Policy and Advocacy Officer and then as an Adviser on Participatory Poverty Assessments. He is a part time Senior Research Fellow with the Center for Basic Research in Kampala where he has researched and published several working paper and book chapters in areas of social and economic development. He holds a master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies and several post graduate courses in communications, economics
AfCoP Treasurer, Ms. Aimtonga AMANI
Ms. Makawia is a senior international development multidisciplinary expert in Managing for Development Results (MfDR), knowledge monitoring and learning, programme management, capacity development, Collaboration Learning and Adaptation (CLA), gender and youth empowerment. She holds a master’s degree in social sciences (Geography, and environmental management), MBA and bachelor’s degree in Education and Geography in addition to numerous high-quality professional trainings. She has expanded 16 years of work experience with major bilateral and multilateral partners, development agencies and African governments. She is also a very strong in analytical thinking, networking and financial management. She is a Tanzanian with excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Kiswahili (basics in French), cheerful and easy to work with others. She brings to teams and organizations with a considerable leadership, organizational, program, planning, coordination, problem-solving, and management experienc
